Data Protection

All information passed to Adventure Hunter will be treated as confidential and will only be passed to third parties with prior consent of the customer or in a medical emergency. Customers should know that information will be passed to Adventure Hunter staff as is appropriate for the running of courses and activities. Email address will not be passed to any other persons or companies.

What personal data do we collect?

Contact via email, website contact form, or telephone: If you contact us by email, or by one of the contact forms on our website, we will have a record of your email address and the contents. If contact is by telephone we may take a note of your name and any other details that may be relevant to the call.

If you engage any of our services: ‘Courses’, ‘Activities’, or ‘Private Guiding’ we will ask for you to complete a booking form (hosted by Jotform) which includes personal contact information, emergency contact and any relevant medical information. This is held in electronic and paper format. You must inform us if you would like this information to be permanently deleted after your booking has ended.

Sharing of information

Adventure Hunter does not collect personal information for sale to third parties for marketing purposes. On occasions where a sub-contractor (‘freelance instructor’) is engaged to deliver a booking on behalf of us, we may share the booking form with them. We request that this is destroyed or deleted after the booking is complete. In the event of a medical emergency any relevant information may be passed onto the emergency services.

Payments

If you engage us for any of the services we provide: ‘Courses’, ‘Activities’, or ‘Private Guiding’ we will send you an invoice with your name and address and our bank/payment details. We accept payment by bank transfer, PayPal, cash, and cheque. No further payment information or bank details are held by us.

Media

We may take photographs or video footage of you during your booking. These images remain the property of Adventure Hunter and may be used as marketing resources, and/or used on our website. If you do not want these images used in this way, please notify us as soon as possible.

Cookies and Google Analytics

We use a minimal number of cookies. Our website provides anonymised tracking data to the third party application Google Analytics. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all areas of our website.

Subject Access Requests (SAR)

Data Protection Legislation gives you the right to access information held about you. You can find out what personal information Adventure Hunter holds about you by making a ‘Subject Access Request’. If you decide to email us, it would be helpful if you could use the term “Subject Access Request” in the subject line of the email. Your request should include evidence to confirm your identity (e.g. copy of driving licence, passport, birth certificate). If specific information is required it would be best to state this in your SAR.

On receipt of the SAR we will respond as quickly as possible and, if not included with the request, we may ask for more information to enable us to reasonably check the identity of the person making the SAR. Once the identity has been confirmed we will then fulfil the SAR within 30 days.
