Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out how Adventure Hunter (‘we’/’us’/’our’) uses and protects any information that you give us when using this website or engaging us with any of our services. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If we ask you to provide any information, it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By visiting and using you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Data Protection

All information passed to Adventure Hunter by you will be treated as confidential. However, as part of our safety management system, it is important that your booking form is passed onto a designated person or persons representing Adventure Hunter so that in the event of an emergency a line of communication may be established to you and/or your emergency contact. This information will not be passed on to any third parties except, if necessary, to the emergency services.

What personal data do we collect?

Contact via email, website contact form, or telephone: If you contact us by email, or by one of the contact forms on our website, we will have a record of your email address and the contents. If contact is by telephone we may take a note of your name and any other details that may be relevant to the call.

If you engage any of our services: ‘Courses’, ‘Activities’, or ‘Private Guiding’ we will ask for you to complete a booking form (hosted by Jotform) which includes personal contact information, emergency contact, and any relevant medical information. This may be held in electronic and/or paper format. You must inform us if you would like this information to be permanently deleted after your booking has ended.

Sharing of information

Adventure Hunter does not collect personal information for sale to third parties for marketing purposes. On occasions where a sub-contractor (‘freelance instructor’) is engaged to deliver a booking on our behalf, we may share your booking form with them. We request that this is destroyed or deleted after the booking is complete. In the event of a medical emergency, any relevant information may be passed onto the emergency services.

If you engage us for any of the services we provide: ‘Courses’, ‘Activities’, or ‘Private Guiding’ we will send you an invoice with your name and address and our bank/payment details. We accept payment by bank transfer (BACS), PayPal, cash, and cheque. No further payment information or bank details are held by us.

We may take photographs or video footage of you during your booking. These images remain the property of Adventure Hunter and may be used as marketing resources, and/or used on our website. If you do not want these images used in this way, please notify us as soon as possible.

Cookies and Google Analytics

We use a minimal number of cookies. Our website provides anonymised tracking data to the third-party application Google Analytics. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. Subject Access Requests (SAR)

Data Protection Legislation gives you the right to access information held about you. You can find out what personal information Adventure Hunter holds about you by making a ‘Subject Access Request’. If you decide to email us, it would be helpful if you could use the term “Subject Access Request” in the subject line of the email. Your request should include evidence to confirm your identity (e.g. copy of driving license, passport, birth certificate). If specific information is required it would be best to state this in your SAR.

On receipt of the SAR we will respond as quickly as possible and, if not included with the request, we may ask for more information to enable us to reasonably check the identity of the person making the SAR. Once the identity has been confirmed we will then fulfill the SAR within 30 days.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
