Advanced Rock Climbing Course

Climbing Finale at Shepherd's Crag

Advanced Rock Climbing Course Overview

This course builds on the skills typically taught on our Beginners Rock Climbing course. We aim to consolidate all of the skills required to become a self-sufficient and competent climber. On an Advanced Rock Climbing Course, we aim to tackle longer and more difficult climbs as well as looking at climbing techniques, ropework and problem-solving in more detail.

What’s covered on an Advanced Rock Climbing Course?

There are lots of options! If you’ve done some single pitch climbing and would like to try multi-pitch climbing then we can arrange a day or two doing this. If you would like some ideas, have a look at the options listed here for inspiration: Rock Climbing in the Lake District.

If you have previously done some climbing indoors, or sport (bolted) climbing outdoors and have been wondering what ‘trad’ climbing is all about then drop us a line! Perhaps you would like to Learn to Lead? We can help you build the necessary skills, and get you leading in a well-controlled and supervised environment. Whatever your experience and objectives we can tailor the course to your requirements.
