Canoe Journeys in the Lake District

Canoeing on Derwentwater

Canoe Journeys in the Lake District Overview

The Lake District is home to some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers in the UK, including England’s longest and deepest lakes. It’s a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and adventurers, so, why not let us take you on an unforgettable canoe journey in the lake district and we’ll show you some of the area’s best-kept secrets. We’ll teach you the fundamental skills and techniques required to manoeuvre your canoe safely and efficiently, and if conditions allow, we may even put up a sail and harness the power of the wind!

It is possible that we may start and finish in different locations (and even on different lakes!) Our exact route will be dictated by the weather and conditions, however, we will use our wealth of local knowledge and experience to give you the best day possible. Along the way, we will stop for lunch and perhaps show you some bushcraft skills, such as how to build a shelter and light a fire using a fire steel to boil water in a kelly kettle and make a well-earned brew. This is a great day out for friends and family!
