Honister Ghyll Scramble is a fantastic and accessible activity that is suitable for young kids as well as adults. It is usually done in ascent and includes scrambling through tunnels, up waterfalls and jumping into plunge pools. In favourable conditions (when the water level is not too high), and if the group’s ability allows it is possible to continue up through a steeper sided gorge and finish with a short roped climb.
Typically, we will meet you in the National Trust carpark in Seatoller (see map below) at a time of your choice. We’ll then kit you up with the equipment you need and get going. The start of the ghyll is just a couple of minutes walk from the car park. The activity itself usually takes around 2 hours.
This activity is priced per person assuming a group of four or more. If your group is less than four, we charge a flat rate. Your booking will be treated as private unless you give us permission to open it up to the public as a scheduled activity. This could lower the overall cost in line with the rates below:

We believe that keeping group numbers low enhances your experience. Therefore, we run this activity with a maximum of 10 people.
