Activity Overview

Rock Climbing is a dynamic and growing sport that appeals to people from all walks of life. Finding a safe avenue to discover and experience the sport for the first time can be tricky. We aim to facilitate this by choosing safe and friendly locations and only use instructors who are experienced and passionate climbers themselves. Our Rock Climbing and Abseiling activity is suitable for all ages and abilities and our qualified instructors will tailor the activity to your requirements.

Essential Details

This is a scheduled 3-hour experience that is open to anyone. Private bookings are available on request. No previous experience is required, however, a reasonable level of fitness and balance will improve your enjoyment.

How many can participate?

We believe that keeping group numbers low enhances your experience. Therefore, we run this with a maximum of ten people.

How to book?

We offer a range of scheduled activities (including this experience) that are open to the public and that can be booked online via the red ‘Book Now’ button. We also take private bookings and enquiries for this can be made via the form on this page or the contact form at the top of the page. We require a 30% deposit to secure private bookings and full payment prior to your course or activity commencing. If you would like any more information or have a specific question, please get in touch.

*In extremely wet conditions this activity may be cancelled in which case a full refund will be issued or an option to climb indoors (entry fee required).

How to find us

We are situated at Lodore Landings which is a short walk from the Lodore Falls and Spa and Mary Mount Hotels (see map below). There is no parking on-site, however, it’s a short (5-minute) walk from Kettlewell carpark or you could leave your car behind altogether and jump on the Launch at a discounted rate.

What do I need to bring with me?

We will provide all of the safety equipment required. However, you will need to bring some of your own personal items including, suitable footwear (robust trainers/boots), warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves, as well as food/snacks/drink.
