Imagine jumping into crystal-clear pools, descending waterfalls, and navigating through ancient rock formations. Stoneycroft Ghyll Scramble delivers all of this and more and our team of experienced guides will lead you and ensure your safety on this fantastic experience. For those who want a bit more, there is a lower ‘canyon’ section called Stoneycroft Gorge which cuts more deeply into the mountainside and has created a spectacular deep-sided gorge with bigger waterfalls than those found in its upper reaches. In favourable conditions (when the water level is not too high), the gorge can be descended with a rope via a series of abseils or ‘lowers’. This can be done in addition to the top section, or as an alternative.
This is a scheduled 2-hour experience (3 hours including the gorge section) that is open to anyone. Private bookings are available on request. No previous experience is required, however, a reasonable level of fitness and balance will improve your enjoyment.
