Private Guiding & Instruction
Every day in the mountains is different, so our guiding and instruction is tailored to your experience, ambitions and the conditions.
Our standard rates are for private one-to-one guiding or instruction. Additional participants can join for £50 per person, per day, subject to suitable ratios for the activity.
Lake District
£275 — 1 person / 1 day
Private guiding and instruction in the Lake District costs £275 per day for one person.
Bookings can focus on developing your skills, a particular route or objective, or simply making the most of a great day in the mountains.
Scottish Winter
£350 — 1 person / 1 day
Private winter guiding and instruction in the Scottish mountains costs £350 per day for one person.
Objectives and itineraries are planned around your experience, ambitions and the best available conditions, whether you’re interested in winter mountaineering, snow and ice climbing or technical mixed climbing.
Norway
£375 — 1 person / 1 day
Private guiding and instruction in Norway costs £375 per day for one person.
Trips are individually planned around your objectives, experience and the conditions, from a few days of ice climbing to longer climbing and mountaineering adventures.
Travel, accommodation, local transport and other trip-specific expenses are charged separately and agreed in advance.
Additional Participants
Additional participants are charged at £50 per person, per day, subject to the appropriate instructor-to-client ratio for the activity.
This makes our standard 1:2 rates:
Lake District — £325 per day
Scottish Winter — £400 per day
Norway — £425 per day
Multi-Day Bookings
For longer adventures, bookings of five or more consecutive guiding days receive a 10% reduction on our standard guiding fees.
The reduction applies to guiding and instruction fees only. Travel, accommodation, local transport and any other trip-specific expenses are excluded.
Longer bookings provide greater flexibility for developing skills, working towards bigger objectives and making the most of changing mountain conditions.
Contingency Days
Where availability allows, a contingency day can be reserved alongside your preferred dates, giving us greater flexibility to work with the best conditions.
Contingency days can be held for £50 per day.
Returning Clients
Preferential rates are available for returning clients as a thank-you for choosing Adventure Hunter again.
