Guided Rock Climbing

A new world of possibilities.

Private Rock Climbing Guiding

Great Climbs. Wild Places. A Day Built Around You.

From classic mountain routes and remote sea cliffs to quiet crags away from the crowds, Britain has an extraordinary depth of rock climbing. Our private guiding is entirely bespoke — built around your experience, aspirations and the kind of day you want to have.

Whether you have a particular climb in mind, want to push yourself on something harder or simply explore somewhere new, we’ll help find the right objective.

Rock Climbing in the Lake District

The Lake District is home to thousands of fantastic rock climbs, from classic multi-pitch mountain routes to technical test pieces and accessible valley crags.

With more than 25 years spent climbing throughout the Lakes, we have an intimate knowledge of its crags, routes and mountain landscapes. That experience allows us to choose objectives that suit you, the conditions and your ambitions.

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to climb Napes Needle, tackle Tophet Wall or experience a big mountain day on Pillar Rock. These are just a handful of possibilities.

Guiding can be arranged for a single day, a weekend or as part of a longer programme.

Further Afield

Scotland

Scotland offers some of the finest and most adventurous rock climbing in Britain. Huge mountain crags, long traditional routes and spectacular sea cliffs are scattered throughout the Highlands and Islands, including iconic objectives such as the Old Man of Hoy and Old Man of Storr.

Many of these climbs lie in remote and wild locations, where the approach and journey are as much a part of the experience as the climbing itself. We’ll help with everything from choosing the right objective to planning the logistics and making the most of the conditions.

Wales & South West England

Wales and South West England offer another remarkable variety of climbing, from the great mountain crags of Snowdonia to some of Britain’s most dramatic sea cliffs.

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to climb Dream of White Horses at Wen Zawn, explore the granite sea cliffs of Cornwall or make the journey out to Terrier’s Tooth at Chair Ladder.

Whatever the objective, we’ll tailor the climbing to your ability, aspirations and the conditions.

You don’t need to arrive with a particular route in mind. Tell us about your climbing, the places that inspire you and what you’d like to achieve. Drawing on decades of climbing and mountaineering experience, we’ll help turn those ideas into a memorable day — or something altogether more ambitious.

Do I Need Any Previous Experience?

Not necessarily. Private guiding is tailored to your experience, confidence and ambitions, whether you’re completely new to climbing or looking to develop your skills and take on a bigger objective. Tell us what you’d like to achieve, and we’ll choose the right venue and climbing for you.
