Rock Climbing in the Lake District Overview
The Lake District is home to literally thousands of fantastic rock climbs across the grade spectrum, from classic multi-pitch routes on our mountain crags to cutting edge sport climbs, not to mention a wealth of high-quality bouldering. With over 25 years of experience climbing in the Lakes, our knowledge of the climbs and crags is second to none. All of our guided rock climbing is bespoke and tailored to your experience and aspirations, however, to give you an idea of what we offer, some of the most famous climbs and crags that we regularly guide people on include: Napes Needle ; Tophet Wall ; Scafell and Pillar Rock . Do I need any previous experience?
Some previous multi-pitch climbing experience is desirable but not essential. Maybe you have a particular climb on your ‘bucket list’ that you’ve always wanted to do? Or, perhaps you are just curious to explore some of the great crags in the region? We will advise you on the level of ability required to tackle some of the great climbs in the Lakes and can offer training and coaching to help you get there. We strive to offer flexible, tailored instruction specific to your goals.
How many can participate?
Guided Rock Climbing works well on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis (instructor to participant) and can be booked from one day to a week in duration.
How much will it cost?
Our standard rates are for private one-to-one guiding or instruction. Additional participants can join for £50 per person, per day, subject to suitable ratios for the activity.
For longer adventures, bookings of five or more consecutive guiding days receive a 10% reduction on our standard guiding fees.
How to book
Let us know which course you’d like to book, along with your preferred date/s a brief outline of your experience. We require a 30% deposit to secure all bookings with full payment due prior to the start date of your course.
