Beginners Rock Climbing Overview
Our Beginners’ Rock Climbing Courses are designed for climbers who have some experience, either indoors or outdoors, and are ready to develop their skills on real rock.
The course builds on what you already know, developing your confidence, technical skills and understanding while introducing you to the foundations of independent outdoor climbing. The exact content will be shaped around your existing experience and what you’d like to achieve, allowing us to spend time on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your climbing.
What We’ll Cover
Typically, we’ll focus on the skills needed to become a confident and competent second, including belaying, tying into the rope, removing and organising protection, understanding anchors and developing efficient movement on rock.
The aim is simple: to give you a solid foundation of skills and experience, and help you take the next step towards becoming a more capable and independent climber.

This course works well on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis (instructor to participant) and can be booked from one to three days in duration.
