Canoe Trips and Expeditions Overview
There is something special about travelling by open canoe. Quiet, capable and wonderfully versatile, it allows us to journey through wild landscapes at their own pace, carrying everything we need along the way.
Our trips range from days exploring the lakes and rivers of the Lake District to multi-day journeys on some of Scotland’s great rivers, including the Spey, Tay and Dee.
Every journey is shaped by the weather, water conditions and ambitions of the group. Along the way, we can develop canoe handling, moving-water skills, journey planning and expedition craft. When conditions allow, we may even hoist a sail and let the wind do some of the work.
Longer journeys bring the added experience of travelling self-sufficiently, carrying our equipment and making camp beside the water. There is always time to stop, explore, put the kettle on and enjoy the places we travel through.
Whether it’s a day on a Lake District lake or a multi-day Scottish river journey, our trips are about good company, beautiful landscapes and the simple pleasure of travelling well through wild places.
